Who is behind BookinTrade
If you're going to trust an app with your trading record — and read what we write about money — you have a right to know who builds it, on what criteria, and how it pays for itself. That's what this page is for.
Why this app exists
BookinTrade was started by Adrián, a crypto futures trader and the founder of the project, from Argentina. It didn't come out of a business plan. It came out of a problem he had.
The pattern was always the same. A loss, and minutes later another trade opened to win it back. Then a bigger one. The month wasn't decided by the strategy — that part was written down — it was decided by the three or four trades taken in anger.
The journaling apps we tried measured what happened very well: win rate, profit factor, drawdown. None of them measured why. And the "why" was exactly what was draining the account.
The idea behind BookinTrade is simple: what you don't record, you repeat. If your problem is discipline, you need a tool that turns it into data, not another dashboard.
What we write from
We're not a review site and we're not a content agency. We're a small team that builds a trading journal and uses it: the account the app is tested on trades crypto futures for real, with real money, and its trades come in through the exchange sync like any other user's.
That gives us one advantage and one bias, and both are worth stating:
- The advantage: when we write about revenge trading, moving a stop or sizing up to recover, we write from having done it — not from summarising other people's articles.
- The bias: we make one of the tools we compare. So whenever we mention it in an article, we say so in the same paragraph, and we also say when you should pick something else.
How we compare the apps we write about
In our comparisons we look at five things per tool: what it is genuinely best at, how it imports and syncs trades, which markets it covers, what it costs, and whether it records anything about your behaviour or only your fills.
Two rules we hold ourselves to:
- We don't publish exact prices. These tools change plans often, and a comparison with stale pricing is worse than one with no pricing. We always point to the vendor's own page.
- If another app is better than ours for your case, we say so. If you want the most sophisticated reporting on the market, or automatic import from hundreds of stock brokers, there are better options than BookinTrade and we name them.
How we make money
One way only: Pro subscriptions to the app (USD 9.99/month). There's a genuinely free plan with no card required, and new accounts start with 30 days of Pro.
What we don't do — and you can verify it in the source of any article:
- We use no affiliate links. None. If we mention a competitor, we get nothing if you sign up for it.
- We don't charge for reviews or for inclusion in a comparison. Nobody pays to be on a list, or to be higher on it.
- We don't sell your trading data. It's in our privacy policy.
What the product actually is
A free, crypto-native, bilingual (Spanish and English) trading journal, available on the web and on Android through Google Play since June 2026. Beyond trade logging and the usual metrics, it includes revenge trading detection, a pre-trade "7 P's" checklist, a "3 Pillars" framework per trade, emotional-state tracking, backtesting, a risk calculator, automatic exchange sync, and an AI assistant where you bring your own API key.
Important notice
Nothing we publish is financial advice or an investment recommendation. We don't give signals, we don't manage anyone's money, and we don't promise results. Trading crypto with leverage carries a real risk of losing your capital. The full text is in our financial disclaimer.
